The business was started as a small one person shop in his parents, Aloys & Minerva Kohnen's basement.
The business prided itself on providing personal and friendly service to a growing customer base.
The business soon outgrew the boundaries of Gerry's parents basement and found a new home at the small building behind the old hardware center.
The business continued to grow and new help was brought in to help meet the demand.
