Wyckoff Heating & Cooling
What started as a small HVAC company founded by Don Wyckoff Sr., has now grown into a trusted business led by third-generation owners Andy Wyckoff and Job Cooper that employs over 150 people and services clients all over Iowa. We've taken our family business to the next level to serve the needs of our customers, all without sacrificing the service-oriented roots and family values that Wyckoff Industries was built on.

Wyckoff's Peace of Mind Service Plan removes the hassle and worry of ensuring your AC and furnace units are routinely maintenanced and functioning properly, saving you money and providing you with the ultimate home comfort security. Circuits, especially in older homes, are easily overloaded if the air conditioner shares a circuit with appliances such as irons, refrigerators, or microwaves.

Avoid connecting these appliances in the same circuit, and try resetting the breaker by turning it off and then on if you discover an issue. Check the fan belts on your air conditioner's outdoor system component for any excessive slack, damage, or breakage.
Services
As a family-owned and operated business for over 70 years, Wyckoff Heating & Cooling takes great pride in providing comfort and expertise to all of our customers in an honest, timely, and thorough manner.
Our home comfort professionals can perform any aspect of repair service, whether that be installing a new furnace or conducting an air conditioner service check.
We guarantee you've come to the right place to find reliable, honest, and affordable service.
The values we run our business on today are the same principles our founder and grandfather, Don Wyckoff, established more than 70 years ago.
At only 19-years-old, and married to 15-year-old Mary Rose Davis, Don Wyckoff Sr. enlists in the Navy to repair war ships during World War II.
After three years of service, Don returns home and starts his job at Universal Heating in Des Moines.
Don Sr. and Mary Rose go on to have six more children - Pam, Ron, Doak, Kyle, Kay, and Tobie.
Don Sr. starts working with his old Navy buddy, Kenny Horn, at Clark-Peterson Company, a large heating and cooling company in Des Moines.
Don and Kenny Horn formed Wyckoff-Horn Heating and Cooling Company.
With countless years of experience in the heating and cooling industry, Wyckoff technicians are well-equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge it takes to resolve your issue and provide you with comfort in an efficient and thorough manner day and night.
Yes, we are available 24/7.
We all know how unpredictable Midwest weather can be, and getting caught with a broken air conditioner when it's a scorching 100 degrees, or a malfunctioning furnace when you're taking shelter from a harsh Iowa blizzard, can rob you of your comfort and your money.
Diagnosing the severity and cost of a furnace issue can be difficult, and Wyckoff technicians use various components to find the best solution for whatever problem you're faced with.
So, what are the indicators that you may need to only do a repair on your furnace as opposed to replacing the whole system?
Knowing the difference can and will save you money in the long run.
Many times, furnace issues can be fixed by simply replacing a part, or cleaning out your filter.
Contact a Wyckoff professional to help diagnose what it is that is making your furnace act out, and if it is something like a cracked heat exchanger or an out-of-warranty compressor, most often a repair will do the trick.
Whether your furnace is reaching the end of its lifespan, or you find it constantly needing repairs, making the investment to replace your heating unit might be the best solution for you and your home.
Take time to think about what issues your furnace is having and speak with a Wyckoff technician about what steps to take next.
With a lifespan of 15-20 years, if your furnace is experiencing issues and is over 10 years old, spending the money now to buy a new one could offset the cost of paying for repairs on a dying furnace only to have to buy a new one down the road anyway.
