Rochester District Heating Cooperative - or RDH - is the only customer-owned, nonprofit thermal energy cooperative in New York State, and provides reliable, cost-effective thermal energy to dozens of buildings in downtown Rochester, NY totaling more than 8.5 million square feet. Along with leading new product development and customer acquisition initiatives, John has led the planning and execution of targeted investments including two multimillion-dollar capital improvements to the plant and distribution system.
John began his career at Xerox, where he worked in facilities operations and project management, as well as serving as Senior Supplier Manager for the company's Construction and Energy purchases.

Rochester District Heating is governed by a 10-member Board of Directors, all of whom represent customers of the steam system.
Board members are appointed or elected by our customers as provided for in the By-Laws.
Decisions regarding matters such as budget, steam rates, and operating policies are voted on and approved by customers and implemented by the Board, which meets bi-monthly.
