At Cal-Air Heating & Air Conditioning Service, we work across a wide verity of circumstances, so pricing can be a little difficult to navigate sometimes depending on things such as technical level required to resolve issues, mechanical condition of the unit being serviced or repaired, age of unit, location of unit, availability of parts for the unit.
For a technician to visit the property and fully diagnose the issues, we have what we call a "Diagnostic Charge".
This is a standard flat fee of $90.00, this charge is non-refundable and covers the cost of business for a fully trained and qualified technician to arrive at your home and use their expertise and diagnostic tools to give you an estimate of needed repairs.

As a general rule your air filter should at least be checked monthly, but there are some cases in which filters must be replaced every other week.
Homes where the air intake ( return ) is near the front door, homes with animals etc. are all cases in which an air filter may need to be replaced more often.
